Roleplaying is destroying my life. Actually, it's wonderful, totally fun and full of creativeness and with characters I love and love to play. But. But.
They're distracting me! Not from schoolwork, which I manage to get done, or my social life, which I manage to have, but from my independent study assignment.
Grrrr. Something will have to be done.

Am searching for the young!Gondolindrim fic. In the meantime, wallow with me in my pretentious misery...
( Cut for all those of you who are bored of my being depressed, as you should be.Collapse )

Madness. It's all madness.
I'm curled up at my computer, blanket wrapped around my arms, and the last thing I want to do right now is leave for a three-hour-long class. Even if I like the course - even if I am positively ecstatic about the course, which I am.
So, still have a few minutes to kill before I have to get up. Have been roleplaying a lot lately - it seems my only link to fandom. Several times I've wanted to start stories (particularly in the Silm fandom) but I've been making myself focus that energy on my creative-writing Independent Study. I think I'll begin posting that soon, to give me some incentive (besides school deadlines, which I've never been very good at following) to get it done.
I was going through old files on my computer, and I found a cute bit about the lords of Gondolin playing around as kids in Valinor. My dear Silmficcing friends - did I ever post that anywhere? Should I post it to LJ?
Also, randomnly, I've been resisting the urge to seek out an RPG based on George RR Martin's writings. But I've never managed to stick with anything besides leviosarpg, so it will remain just a fancy of mine.
I've slid back into political apathy. It's a nice place to be.
Well, class time. I think I'll go.

A meme! Gacked from demeter918.
Ten Fictional Characters I'd Do In A Heartbeat (in no particular order)
1. Mr. Darcy (Jane Austen's "Pride and Prejudice")
2. Fransisco d'Anconia (Ayn Rand's "Atlas Shrugged")
3. Feanor (JRR Tolkien's "The Silmarillion")
4. Palmer Joss (Carl Sagan's "Contact" - book version!)
5. Laurie (from "Little Women" by Louisa May Alcott)
6. Luke Skywalker (from "Star Wars" - where else?)
7. Jon Snow (George R.R. Martin's Song of Ice and Fire Series)
8. Heathcliff (Emily Bronte's "Wuthering Heights" - not the cartoon cat, thankyouverymuch)
9. Adric (one of Dr. Who's companions on "Dr. Who")
10. Atticus Finch (from Harper Lee's "To Kill a Mockingbird" - I don't care if he's 80, moral activism in the face of certain defeat is damn sexy!)
This isn't a meme-rule, but I decided against taking more than one character from the same piece. Mostly because then I'd just have a list of Tolkien characters (Elrond, Aredhel, Faramir and Eowyn would have made it on right away). But I probably would also have chosen the female love interests for most of the books listed, too. (For instance, I always had a bit of a crush on Dagny Taggert (from #2) and Ellie Arroway (#4). Damn half-assed bisexuality.)

Ready to jump back into my RPGs, but first I need summaries. Anyone and everyone, please tell me what's been going on, with particular attention to how it affects Tomsin and Meg... and Marquesa and Fransisco, but Tomsin and especially Meg.
I'm going to try to be online for a little while each day from now on, starting tomorrow.

I have been so busy my head might explode. However, I look forward with great anticipation to the start of school and the free time that comes with it. And I wanted to let my friends in civilitas and leviosarpg know, I plan on resuming play then.
